In Matthew 4:21–22, we read, “Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them, and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed Him.”

As James walked with Jesus, God revealed to him the truth of Christ’s identity and mission. James witnessed Jesus’ miracles, teachings, and ultimately His glory during key moments, including the Transfiguration. This revelation transformed James’ life from a simple fisherman to a bold disciple, devoted to spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ. His faith and courage became a model for living fully in God’s calling.
